Long-term Stroke Consultant Opportunity in South West England

We are seeking an experienced Stroke Consultant to join our team at a hospital in South West England for a long-term assignment.

This is an ongoing locum role with a competitive pay rate.

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, with a 1 in 10 on-call rota, averaging 45 hours per week.
  • Great location with local accommodation available if required.
  • Easily accessible by public transport and car.
  • Excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ward patient management on the Hyperacute Stroke Unit (HASU) and Acute Stroke Unit (ASU), TIA clinics.
  • Bleep holding, responding to thrombolysis and thrombectomy calls, and supporting bi-weekly Consultant Board Rounds at the Stroke Sub Acute Rehabilitation Units.

Requirements:

  • GMC registration and entry on the specialist register are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Minimum 1 year of NHS experience at Consultant level, with the ability to work independently.
  • Competitive pay rates, above average possible, with various payment models acceptable.
