We are seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Inpatient Nurse Specialist to join our team at our state-of-the-art clinic in London. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our vision of creating a centre of excellence in musculoskeletal care.

About the Role

This is a bank position with a varied shift pattern, including day and night shifts. As an Orthopaedic Inpatient Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing skilled practical nursing care to patients undergoing orthopaedic procedures.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, prioritizing individual needs and ensuring effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Administer treatments and care to patients, adhering to Fortius policies and Consultant protocols.
  • Participate in the implementation and evaluation of standards of care within the department, contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Provide support and training to other members of staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop clinical knowledge and professional skills, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • RGN with a minimum of 1 year post-registration experience, preferably in a private hospital or NHS setting.
  • Previous experience working with orthopaedic patients, with a strong understanding of patient care issues in day surgery.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and night shifts, with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong IT skills, with experience using clinical data systems and ability to adapt to new technology.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development, with a commitment to maintaining up-to-date clinical skills and knowledge.
