We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Sister / Charge Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading and managing a team of nurses, and contributing to the development of our neonatal services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the NICU, including staff rotas, resources, and competencies.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Contribute to the development of our neonatal services, including quality improvement initiatives and education programs.
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RSCN/Child Branch) with a Specialist Neonatal Qualification.
- Proven experience in managing a ward, including staff management, resource allocation, and quality improvement.
- Excellent clinical and leadership skills, with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and situations.
