About the Role

We are looking for a talented Tunnel Ventilation Systems Specialist to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing tunnel ventilation systems for both normal and emergency operations.

Your expertise in planning, designing, and installing ventilation systems for tunnel projects will be essential in ensuring the safety and comfort of users. You will also assess related elements such as fire and life-safety systems following client specifications and worldwide standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of underground facilities and tunnels, including metro systems, railway stations, road tunnels, cable tunnels, and more.

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefits including 25 days' annual leave, flexible working arrangements, and access to a high-range training portfolio.

Suitable candidates will have solid years of experience in engineer roles in road and rail tunnel ventilation design, fire and life-safety design, gained in road, rail, and/or metro tunneling schemes.

The ideal candidate will be an advanced user of 1D design tools such as IDA for Road and SES for rail, with knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics modeling and visualization using programs such as FDS, Pyrosis, and Smoke view.
