Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist Opportunity

Approach Personnel Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist to join their team in West Sussex.

This exciting role offers the chance to work on a wide range of projects, from small residential sites to large commercial and industrial contracts.

The Role
  1. Conducting Phase 1 Desk Studies and Walkover Surveys to assess site conditions and identify potential risks.
  2. Carrying out Phase 2+ Intrusive Investigations, Risk Assessments, and Report Writing to provide detailed insights and recommendations.
  3. Ensuring site visits are conducted to assess scope of works and gain a comprehensive understanding of client needs.
  4. Contributing to the management of sampling and testing processes, including directing collection, receipt, logging, storage, testing, and disposal.
  5. Collaborating with the commercial team to determine cost estimates for clients and manage project budgets.
  6. Determining project feasibility based on collected information and data analysis.
The Ideal Candidate
  1. A degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role with an engineering consultancy or site investigation-based company.
  3. A valid UK driving license and the right to work in the UK.
  4. A driven attitude with a desire to learn and progress in their career.
