A leading Shropshire-based contractor is hiring a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of various interior construction projects. As a key member of the commercial team, you'll work closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure project success and develop your expertise in quantity surveying.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a fast-growing company and take on new challenges. You'll be responsible for managing 4-5 projects simultaneously, overseeing their financial and contractual aspects, and collaborating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight:
    • Manage the financial and contractual elements of 4-5 projects, ensuring efficient cost control and smooth delivery.
    • Work collaboratively with the Commercial Manager to meet project goals.
  • Quantity Surveying Duties:
    • Place and administer sub-contract orders, ensuring all requirements are met.
    • Re-measure completed works and process subcontractor payments.
    • Prepare and present monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
    • Handle and agree on variations and dayworks with clients and subcontractors.
  • Travel Requirements:
    • Travel to project sites during working hours as necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with experience managing multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
About the Salary and Benefits
