Business Development Manager

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our Sales Team in Northern England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a technical bias and experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with new and existing customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and commercial support to new and existing customers, including site audits and customer training.
- Identify, monitor, and liaise with new and existing customers to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Help customers maintain products to maximise the total cost of ownership and minimise production downtime.
- Research and develop opportunities to grow new business.
- Prepare sales forecasts and monthly reports to monitor sales performance.
- Provide customer, competitor, and marketing data to grow turnover, volume, and profitability.
- Assist in developing and executing the company's Sales & Marketing Strategy and Group Accounts.
- Identify and manage threats and opportunities to the company's business.
Requirements:
- Higher educational qualifications or relevant experience.
- Mechanical engineering qualifications or relevant experience/technical bias.
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships with new and existing customers.
- Experience in the manufacturing area of FMCG sector or similar would be advantageous.
Salary and Benefits:
- £35,000 to £42,500 per annum (depending on experience).
