About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital. As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Cardiology department and CRM service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be autonomous in device interrogation, optimisation, troubleshooting, and reprogramming of a range of CIEDs, including ILRs, pacemakers, ICDs, and CRTs, in line with local and national policies and guidelines.
  • Have experience with a range of programmers and devices from various manufacturers.
  • Conduct Echocardiograms and have experience in remote monitoring on multiple manufacturer platforms.
  • Support the wider surgical teams in clinical decision-making to reprogramme or deactivate devices before surgery, following BHRS guidance.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional, statutory, and organisational guidelines.
  • Provide clinical supervision in line with statutory requirements.

Person Specification

  • Be registered with the relevant professional body (RCCP, AHCS or HCPC).
  • Be accredited with the BHRS, IBHRE, EHRA, BSE or equivalent, or be able to evidence they are working to that level.
  • Be an excellent communicator and team worker.
  • Be flexible, motivated, and committed to the highest standards of patient care.
