Adult Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health division, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals experiencing mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop therapeutic plans of care and risk management strategies for individuals presenting with mental health emergencies or self-harm.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide timely and effective interventions, including rotations within A&E to triage and assess patients.
- Determine management plans and deliver short-term psychological treatments as needed, taking into account individual psychosocial, risk, and needs assessments.
- Manage risk and ensure the safety of individuals presenting with suicidal behaviors or thinking.
- Provide psychological treatment and support to individuals with physical illness or difficulties and associated mental distress or disorder.
- Professional Mental Health nursing qualification and current NMC registration.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good understanding and knowledge of mental health legislation, including the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
- Ability to work across a 24-hour rota and manage a caseload effectively.
