Job Overview:

Optimal Maintenance Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Trade Contractor with a background in rail work to join our dynamic supplier team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the maintenance, repair, and construction of rail infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake redecoration and fit-out projects on rail infrastructure, ensuring high-quality results and meeting project deadlines.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on rail infrastructure, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform multi-disciplinary tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and concrete work, as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure project success and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
  • Participate in engineering/out-of-hours working to complete certain projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Multi Trade Contractor with a strong background in Station refurbishment projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of rail safety standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in various trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, welding, and concrete work.
  • Ability to read and interpret scoping documents and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in multiple trades.
  • Experience with rail-specific rules and regulations.
  • Previous experience working on rail projects.
