We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our client's growing team in Liss. As an automotive specialist, our client is passionate about their products, and their machine shop team is expanding.
Key Responsibilities:- Program, set, and operate a Haas CNC 4-axis turning centre with driven tooling, running short batches of simple or complex components to tight tolerances.
- Inspect work at the machine, approve first-offs, and check continued compliance during batch-run. Communicate issues as necessary.
- Create and prove programs using Haas NextGen control. Identify tooling needs and maintenance/calibration issues.
- Operate other production machinery as directed (guidance and training will be given as necessary).
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring Health and Safety regulations are met, and safe working practices are adhered to.
- Carry out general workshop duties as directed (unloading, storing, and cutting material, deburring, and hand finishing where required).
- Work with the business to identify and agree manufacturing priorities and production schedules.
- Complete all necessary production control records (timesheets, inspection records, etc).
- CNC programming, setting, and operator experience.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of issues, with a proactive can-do attitude.
