Job Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Dam and Reservoirs Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical designs and solutions for dams and reservoirs projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and direct teams undertaking technical design work following relevant design standards and codes.
  • Define briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Set quality assurance standards in design.
  • Grow, develop, and manage dams and reservoirs engineering capability within the practice.

Requirements

  • Chartered Civil Engineer.
  • Currently are or working towards being a Reservoir Supervising Engineer.
  • Experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and/or geotechnical engineering as applied to the management and design of dams and reservoirs and their associated hydraulic structures.
  • In-depth knowledge of current UK design standards, guidance, and working practices, including the Reservoirs Act.
