We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Consultant to join our UK GHG and Net Zero team. This is a senior role in the team, focused on leading and coaching teams of consultants through critical projects and supporting business development efforts as we build new partnerships and expand existing long-term relationships.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects across areas including greenhouse gas inventories, science-based targets, decarbonisation roadmaps, climate transition plans, and much more. They must be a self-starter with initiative who can flex across client sectors and services areas to deliver excellence and value for our clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Attending and leading client meetings for development of opportunities and project delivery
  • Managing multiple projects independently with minimal supervision to meet tight deadlines, commercial targets and quality expectations
  • Providing technical leadership on GHG and Net-Zero topics to junior team members on project delivery, and in support of other live projects
  • Writing proposals for new business, in collaboration with the existing team and working with other consultants and experts across Anthesis to grow existing long-term relationships

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in relevant sustainability work, ideally with previous consulting and client-facing experience. Previous background in GHG and Net Zero topics is preferred. Excellent project management/direction, strong numeracy with comfortable, advanced use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and demonstrated experience in Business Development and proposal writing are also essential.
