About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Sustainability Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Smart Energy and Sustainability Division, you will play a crucial role in shaping the approach that organisations are taking to decarbonisation and a net-zero future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct net-zero carbon studies at project and master planning levels
  • Develop planning application support documents, including energy strategy and environmental assessments
  • Contribute to climate change studies and ESG strategy
  • Perform Life-Cycle Carbon and Cost Analyses (LCCA) and renewable energy development
  • Work on electrical generation, storage, and distribution

What You Will Learn

  • Carbon verification, validation, and auditing
  • Contributing to the delivery of key projects, with support from senior team members
  • Reviewing project details and developing appropriate sustainability targets
  • Communicating sustainability requirements to internal and external team members
  • Preparing reports providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams
  • Managing your own workload to meet project deadlines
  • Reviewing the performance of designated projects on a monthly basis
  • Engaging with skills networks to exchange best practice and processes

Requirements

  • Hold a relevant degree, BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) or equivalent/higher
  • Humility, self-motivation, and enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • An understanding of the construction industry and built environment
