Director of Planning and Analysis Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Planning and Analysis to join our team at Maxim Recruitment. As a leading specialist claims and disputes employer, we offer a range of services including quantum and delay expert services, project advisory, and claims and dispute services.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead and manage a team of delay analysts, Associate Directors, Senior Consultants, and Consultants working on complex and concurrent projects.
  • Act as an appointed Expert on commissions, providing specialist delay and forensic advice to external clients.
  • Take full responsibility for expert report writing and manage your team to assist with preparing background information and sections of reports.
  • Deliver expert delay and forensic planning services in line with client briefs and the company business plan.
  • Network and win work, developing relationships with construction industry solicitors and influential contacts within construction building and civil engineering contractors.
  • Take a lead in the coaching and training of your delay analysis team, encouraging their professional progression.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Over 15 years of experience within delay, engineering, planning, and related areas.
  • Recent experience as an Associate Director Delay Analysis role (or equivalent) with management of a team of delay analysts working on concurrent cases.
  • Significant exposure to delay-related work and expert delay work at both hands-on and managerial levels.
  • Experience of writing your own and contributing sections to expert reports written by or with other delay experts.
  • Experience of providing specialist delay and forensic advice to external clients.
  • Extensive experience of being appointed and acting as an Expert.
  • Extensive experience of delivering expert delay and forensic planning services to satisfied clients.
  • Proven work-winning ability and experience.
  • Profile with construction industry solicitors and influential contacts within construction building and civil engineering contractors.
  • Experience in coaching and training a delay analysis team and encouraging their professional progression.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
  • Member of a relevant engineering or construction industry professional body.
  • Higher qualification in construction law, such as an MSc in Construction Law.
  • MCIArb or FCIArb desirable.
