Transportation Planner

We are seeking an experienced transportation professional to join our team as a Transportation Planner. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues in Planning and coordinate the collective knowledge of divisions across the Place Department.
As a Transportation Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring development in the borough aligns with our adopted policies and achieves the strategic objectives and aspirations of the Council. You will be able to shape long-term infrastructure and place setting through the development of guidance and influence policy decisions across Planning and Public Realm for the borough.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate transportation planning efforts with colleagues in Planning and other divisions
- Develop and implement transportation policies and guidelines
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure transportation infrastructure meets Council standards
- Conduct transportation impact assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation
- Stay up-to-date with transportation industry trends and best practices
