We are seeking a highly skilled Carbon Footprint Reduction Specialist to join our team at DS Smith. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a critical role in helping our customers to deliver on their decarbonisation targets and sustainability ambitions.

The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field and exceptionally strong analytical and Excel skills. They will also have demonstrable experience with Scope 1, 2 & 3 emission calculations and experience leading change with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

About the role

This is a hybrid role, split between being at our head office in Paddington and home, with limited travel to sites as needed. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently but also comfortable building strong working relationships with colleagues around the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Helping customers to deliver on their decarbonisation targets and sustainability ambitions
  • Translating our carbon and environmental data into valuable insights and services
  • Working with the wider teams to develop and deliver internal communications and training to support our sales colleagues
  • Leading change with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
