At Unreal Gigs, we're committed to driving the transition to a low-carbon economy by developing innovative EV charging solutions. As an EV Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a vital role in designing, implementing, and optimizing EV charging networks that serve communities, cities, and highways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement EV Charging Stations:
- Lead the design, placement, and installation of EV charging stations, including Level 2 and DC fast-charging systems. You'll tailor infrastructure plans to meet regional demands, site constraints, and grid capacity while ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Work on projects that integrate EV charging systems with the power grid, addressing challenges like load balancing, peak demand, and energy storage. You'll collaborate with utilities to ensure charging stations support grid stability and renewable energy integration.
- Perform site assessments to evaluate optimal locations for EV charging infrastructure, considering factors like accessibility, energy demand, and environmental impact. You'll conduct feasibility studies that inform project planning and deployment.
- Design and implement smart charging solutions that manage charging times and loads efficiently, optimizing for both user convenience and grid stability. You'll explore vehicle-to-grid (V2G) and load management technologies to enhance infrastructure resilience.
- Ensure that all charging stations comply with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and industry certifications (e.g., NEC, UL). You'll oversee testing and quality control to maintain safe and reliable charging operations.
- Work with urban planners, municipalities, and private sector partners to expand charging networks and support EV adoption. You'll contribute to strategic infrastructure expansion that aligns with urban development and sustainability goals.
- Keep up with advancements in EV charging technology, such as wireless charging, ultra-fast charging, and smart grid integration. You'll continuously explore innovations to keep charging networks efficient and forward-looking.
