Aerodynamics Development Group

At McLaren Racing, we're pushing the boundaries of high-performance in motorsport. Our mission is to deliver exceptional results, and we're looking for a talented individual to join our Aerodynamics Development Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the Aerodynamics department to identify aerodynamic challenges and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and apply innovative data science methods to analyze complex data sets and gain new insights into aerodynamic performance.
  • Collaborate with the Aero Performance Group to define further performance opportunities and develop metrics to enhance performance.
  • Communicate and present results of studies and analysis to stakeholders, with a focus on improving lap time performance.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members to develop their aerodynamics understanding and data analysis skills.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in motorsport aerodynamics development, with a strong understanding of racing car wind tunnel testing, CFD application, and on-track aerodynamic performance environments.
  • Excellent data-driven analysis skills and experience in analyzing complex data sets.
  • Strong CAD design experience and software programming skills (R&D prototype level).
  • A team player with the initiative to make decisions and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate projects to deliver results to target specifications.
