About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our Care, Childcare and Counselling department at Central Dunstable College.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, deliver, assess, and verify subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels.
  • Support and guide students to achieve success and realise their potential.
  • Manage students' learning and provide a high-quality learning experience.
  • Contribute proactively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
  • Participate in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification within the required subject specialism at a minimum of one level above the level to be taught.
  • A recognised Level 5 teaching qualification, for example PGCE/Cert Ed/Diploma in Education and Training.
  • An excellent knowledge and understanding of teaching health and social care.
  • Recent experience of teaching health and social care role.
  • Experience of working in the health and/or social care sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent IT skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.).
