Job Summary

IB Abel Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team. As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for developing cost estimates for electrical construction projects, working closely with the Project Management Team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment costs
  • Work with the Project Management Team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of estimates
  • Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes and evaluate for completeness and best price
  • Assist in the development of RFP deliverables, including cost codes and project scope
  • Review contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and obligations
  • Generate award documents and complete Excel Front Sheets to generate prices
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Management Team
Requirements
  • Five or more years of related experience in the electrical construction industry
  • Ten or more years performing cost estimating for the electrical industry
  • Valid Driver's License to operate a company or personal vehicle for company business
  • Ability to travel as required throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of general construction practices
  • Knowledge of construction building practices with familiarity with large industrial/commercial projects preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Primavera 6, and MS Project
  • Proficient in Accubid Estimating Software
