IT Infrastructure Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team. As an On-Site IT Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing on-site technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Installing, configuring, and upgrading computer systems and software applications.
- Monitoring IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications, to detect and resolve issues proactively.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical problems in a timely manner to minimise downtime and disruptions.
- Collaborating with the IT team to implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards.
- Implementation and support of new IT systems across the full IT project lifecycle.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation and guides.
- Documenting and maintaining accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and support activities.
- Providing excellent customer service and communication to ensure a positive end-user experience.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office, Windows, Active Directory, and remote desktop support tools.
- An excellent understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN/WIFI technologies (Aruba preferred).
- An excellent knowledge of Virtualisation technologies including VMWare and Nutanix.
- To be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application.
- The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and mentor junior members of the team.
- The flexibility to work outside regular business hours and respond to emergencies including participation in an on-call rota.
- To travel to other sites as required.
