We are seeking an experienced and skilled Adult Principal Practitioner Psychologist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our dental psychology service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological care to patients with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist psychological assessments, clinical formulations, and interventions to patients with psychological needs in dental care.
- Develop and implement psychological care pathways, particularly in facial pain, orthognathic surgery, and special care dentistry.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and leadership to junior psychologists and other professionals.
- Contribute to the development of business cases and proposals to grow the dental psychology team.
- Entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology (professional Doctorate, or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level additional training) that has been accepted by the HCPC for purposes of professional registration.
- Additional training to a level commensurate with the post and relevant to the post.
- Completed training course in clinical supervision.
- Registered with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist, and evidence of continuing professional development as required by the HCPC.
- Evidence of having worked as a clinical specialist under supervision in physical health care.
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients with a range of psychological needs of a complex nature in physical healthcare.
- Experience of health services research, evaluation, and audit, and dissemination through teaching, training, and publication.
- Experience of providing teaching and training to psychologists or other professional groups.
