We are seeking an experienced and skilled Adult Principal Practitioner Psychologist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our dental psychology service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological care to patients with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide specialist psychological assessments, clinical formulations, and interventions to patients with psychological needs in dental care.
  2. Develop and implement psychological care pathways, particularly in facial pain, orthognathic surgery, and special care dentistry.
  3. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  4. Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and leadership to junior psychologists and other professionals.
  5. Contribute to the development of business cases and proposals to grow the dental psychology team.
Requirements:
  1. Entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology (professional Doctorate, or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level additional training) that has been accepted by the HCPC for purposes of professional registration.
  2. Additional training to a level commensurate with the post and relevant to the post.
  3. Completed training course in clinical supervision.
  4. Registered with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist, and evidence of continuing professional development as required by the HCPC.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Evidence of having worked as a clinical specialist under supervision in physical health care.
  2. Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients with a range of psychological needs of a complex nature in physical healthcare.
  3. Experience of health services research, evaluation, and audit, and dissemination through teaching, training, and publication.
  4. Experience of providing teaching and training to psychologists or other professional groups.
