The successful candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of the construction process, encompassing electrical, mechanical, and process elements of projects. This includes the planning stage, through construction and up to commissioning.
Main Responsibilities
- Developing construction resourcing strategies and providing planning support at the bid stage.
- Collaborating with Project Managers to create construction phase health and safety plans on winning bids.
- Liaising with Client Operations Teams throughout the construction phase, managing EICA and Mechanical installation, including programme development, risk assessments, method statements, and lifting plans.
- Ensuring safe and efficient site delivery, with maximised resource utilisation, by working closely with Team Leaders.
- Receiving, managing, and issuing drawings for construction at site level, verifying that construction meets design requirements.
- Managing internal direct reports for all construction teams and sub-contractor on-site activities.
- Planning and providing all necessary documentation, resources, tools, materials, consumables, health and safety equipment, and transport to ensure safe and efficient construction.
- Managing Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) as required, including pressure testing of pipes and testing of all pipework and civil construction, ensuring all applicable test equipment is available for delivery and certification is accessible upon request.
- Completing site audits and inspections as necessary to maintain the highest standard of quality.
To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar level position, preferably within an engineering or civils environment, and a solid understanding of the water industry would be beneficial.
