We are recruiting for a Production Specialist - Mechanical to join our dynamic team at PE Global. This role offers a 9-month contract with the possibility of becoming permanent, paid at an attractive hourly rate of £13.05.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to assemble equipment and products.
- Manufacture hydraulic systems in accordance with designs and procedures, ensuring cleanliness standards are met.
- Detect and rectify defects or faults in materials, products, or equipment.
- Provide guidance and support to team members as needed.
- Promote initiatives such as timely delivery, schedule achievement, and cost-effective quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment adhering to 5S and LEAN Principles.
- Support the introduction of new techniques and products, and contribute to purchasing new machinery and generating innovative ideas.
- Affirmatively respond to process improvements and implement changes as necessary.
- Participate in daily team brief meetings and foster constructive discussions.
- Undertake tasks assigned to ensure high achievement levels.
- E nsure product quality meets established standards while maintaining production levels.
- Raise issues through the engineering support system to enhance current designs.
- Brief the Cell Leader on potential issues hindering or disrupting product assembly.
- Work safely and notify the Cell Leader or Manager of any safety concerns.
- Comply with inspection/fat criteria, policies, and procedures without exception.
Essential Qualifications:
- Completed time-served apprenticeship.
- Qualification in a relevant subject (NC).
- Background in a mechanical-based profession.
- Basic hand and power tool operation skills.
- Forklift and overhead crane certifications (desirable).
