Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Freight Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of freight operations, including scheduling, routing, and tracking.
  • Communicate with Drivers and Dispatchers: Communicate effectively with drivers and dispatchers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Monitor and Analyze Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as on-time delivery rates and fuel consumption, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and Implement Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Freight Management Experience: Proven experience in freight management.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and develop effective solutions to complex problems.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate others, providing guidance and support to achieve team goals.

Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. This salary range takes into account the location, industry, and required skills and qualifications.
