Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer

Job Summary:
Westlakes Recruit is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to be located in West Cumbria. The successful candidate will assist the Construction Manager and Engineering Manager with the planning and daily execution of the construction project.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain aspects of the project schedule as assigned by the Project Manager, by managing the process of submittal approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, maintaining schedules and budgets.
* Assist the Project Manager in managing commercial and business risks to achieve targets.
* Ensure that packages are delivered to programme, budget, safety and quality expectations/standards.
* Support the Project Manager in proactively managing the customer relationship during delivery, including change and decision making to effectively manage expectations.
* Ensure accurate and complete records are kept in accordance with the mechanical control sheet, this should include; RFIs, FCDs, WPPs, MCRs, ITPs, Record Drawings and other project Communications/deliverables.

Requirements:

* Experience of supporting delivery of major projects within the nuclear industry or other highly regulated industries where safety and quality are at the forefront of everything we do.
* HNC, or equivalent, in Electrical.
* SMSTS / IOSH qualified.
* Previous experience of engineering works in a nuclear environment.
* Previous experience of managing the installation of environmental monitoring equipment.
* Can obtain the required security clearances.
* Knowledge and experience of Project Management methodology.
* Previous experience of being an Electrical Senior Authorised Person/Authorised Person (Desirable).
