As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer at Amazon, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems, to prevent downtime and ensure maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on site equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse environment.
- Use advanced tools and technologies to maximize equipment effectiveness and efficiency.
- Uphold all health and safety policies and practices to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
- Work on continuous improvement projects to identify and implement best practices across multiple sites.
As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks, including painting and plumbing. You will also liaise with contractors to access external expertise when needed. You will work on a range of shifts to ensure our sites are supported around the clock, allowing Amazon to deliver at the speed we're known for.
About the TeamOur Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is a technically-minded group of excellent team players, guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers. We handle most aspects of Amazon's technical side, including keeping buildings legally compliant and operating at maximum efficiency.
Requirements- NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in an engineering discipline or another practical engineering qualification.
- Relevant experience as a qualified engineer, preferably in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.
- Experience in condition-based monitoring.
- Experience working with print and apply machines.
- Experience in fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems.
