About The Role

We are recruiting for a Site Manager to work on our Anglian Water contract in Colchester, as part of our Construction Team. This role involves the management of projects from inception to completion, requiring strong leadership and organisational skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Supervisors, delivery teams and sub-contractors on site. They will also be expected to implement and monitor health, safety, quality and performance standards, ensuring all work meets required water industry regulations and AW approved standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the construction site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules and budgets in conjunction with the Construction Manager.
  • Conduct site-specific risk assessments and method statements to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers and sub-contractors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the water industry and its regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on health and safety.
