About this role

Capital One is seeking an experienced Salesforce Development Engineer to join our Salesforce platform team, based in our Nottingham head office.

Key responsibilities
  • Work within our Salesforce Centre of Excellence to ensure best practice and scalability of our Salesforce platform.
  • Design, develop, and maintain core features on our Salesforce platform, which powers our internal agent systems.
  • Integrate Salesforce with Enterprise tooling and internal AWS solutions, with opportunities for innovation.
  • Create a prioritised roadmap for the platform to align with Enterprise standards and meet key business outcomes.
  • Govern and steer the overall solution for the platform, participating in our solution design forum.
Requirements
  • Proven Salesforce experience and strong knowledge of its architecture and API governor limits.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications, specifically internal cloud applications and third-party APIs.
  • Experience writing Apex classes and triggers.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Design System and Lightning Web Component Language (LWC).
  • Working knowledge of SFDX CLI for packaging and Dev Ops.
  • Experience supporting Salesforce configuration tasks such as field/page updates, workflows, validations, custom permissions, and approvals.
  • At least 2 certifications including Platform Developer 1 and Integration Architect Certification.
