We are seeking a dynamic professional to lead our Government Relations team as a Public Affairs and E-Commerce Policy Lead. This critical role bridges government relations and e-commerce, requiring expertise in policy areas and well-documented public affairs experience.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating sound judgment and a proactive approach to managing risks and opportunities in a rapidly scaling business. The goal is to create a seamless, trusted online shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay abreast of emerging policy trends and developments at European and market level, providing insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders on potential implications for TikTok's business and operations.
  • Drive internal alignment and strategies around risks and opportunities for TikTok's e-commerce operations.
  • Develop and execute engagement strategies on a European level as well as in individual markets to bring coherence and expertise to local projects and teams across markets.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience working in public policy, with a strong understanding of effective government relations and public policy strategies.
  • High-level expertise in legislative, public policy, and regulatory issues affecting e-commerce (from international trade to product safety and ESG issues).
  • A strong track-record of working independently, leading projects from conception to successful completion across multiple markets.
  • Outstanding communication and writing skills, with the ability to distill complex policy issues into simple explanations and compelling messages.
  • Experience building, managing, leading, and inspiring creative, collaborative, and high-performing teams.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
