About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stroke Medicine Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our stroke services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with stroke and transient ischaemic attack (TIA)
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of stroke services, including thrombolysis and rehabilitation
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research activities
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • MRCP/FRCP or equivalent qualification
  • Training to a level commensurate with the award of CCT or within six months of CCT
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for General Medicine/Geriatrics
  • Experience in stroke medicine, including thrombolysis
  • Ability to work at consultant level in stroke medicine
