Job Title: Power Generation Specialist

Vital Power Limited is seeking a highly skilled Power Generation Specialist to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work with various generator brands, including Cummins, Perkins, Caterpillar, and Volvo.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in on-site activities, working independently or with a team to meet customer expectations and achieve company goals.
  • Cover all generator servicing aspects, including oil and filter changes, and oil, fuel, and coolant sampling.
  • Conduct load bank testing on generator units and accurately fault find and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Work on various generator/engine brands, including Cummins, Perkins, Caterpillar, and Volvo, and be able to work independently on engines from 2kVA to 2.5mVA.
  • Complete engine repairs, fuel pump, engine belt, starter motor, fuel hose, and cooling system work.
  • Interrogate control systems like DSE, ComAp, and DEIF, and understand changeover systems.
  • Complete mechanical engine rebuilds, top-end overhauls, control panel upgrades, and assist with projects as needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in generator services or the power generation industry.
  • Valid CSCS/ECS card.
  • Ability to manage workload, establish priorities, and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to solve problems, be self-motivated, and learn quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to undertake further training.
  • Ability to liaise with customers professionally.
