As a Finance Officer with South Gloucestershire Council, you will play a crucial role in delivering cost-effective financial management and financial support services across the property portfolio.
Financial Management- Prepare, assess, and monitor tenant service charge and reserve funds, ensuring timely payments, accurate expense calculations, and end-of-year reconciliations.
- Monitor revenue and identify exceptions, advising senior management on progress towards targets and KPIs.
- Liaise with colleagues to monitor rent reviews, ensuring timely implementation to meet corporate income expectations.
- Process receipts, fees, and income, ensuring all costs are recovered, including recharges for managed contracts.
- Prepare detailed project cost reports to support quarterly monitors and department service planning.
- Education to degree level or equivalent experience, with a focus on accounting and finance.
- Relevant knowledge and experience in financial management, with a proven track record of delivering quality services.
- Previous experience in a property team, construction, or facilities management environment.
- Strong IT skills and experience with financial systems, including computerized databases and monitoring systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with stakeholders.
