GreenJobs Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Ecologist to join our team. As an Ecological Consultant, you will be responsible for leading exciting projects and conducting a variety of ecological surveys, including protected species surveys and habitat assessments.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting ecological surveys and assessments to inform project decisions
- Preparing comprehensive ecological reports, including Ecological Impact Assessments and Biodiversity Net Gain assessments
- Collaborating with landscape planning and arboriculture teams to deliver integrated project solutions
- Liaising with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in ecological consultancy or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policies
- Proven experience in conducting and leading ecological surveys
- Working knowledge of UKHab survey techniques and Statutory BNG
- Desired experience using GIS to produce highly accurate digital outputs
- Excellent report-writing skills with attention to detail
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management or working towards it
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites
