Postdoctoral Researcher in Statistics and Pathogen Phylogenetics

We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team at The International Society for Bayesian Analysis. The successful candidate will work on a cutting-edge research project that combines core methodology and public health partners to develop new Bayesian methods for estimating sources of transmission with phylogenetics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a research project that integrates statistical methodology and public health applications.
- Collaborate with partners in Seattle to develop and apply Bayesian methods for epidemiological research.
- Contribute to the development of new statistical techniques and tools for phylogenetic analysis.
- Communicate research findings through publications and presentations.
Requirements:
- PhD in statistics, mathematics, physics, evolutionary biology, epidemiology, computer science, or a closely related field.
- Excellent programming skills in R, UNIX, and text processing.
- Strong track record of original research in statistics or a related field.
- Ability to travel and collaborate with international partners.
