Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team on a part-time basis, working Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase invoices using Sage 50, Xero, and MCS, with training provided on all three systems.
  • Ensure accurate entries adhere to HMRC VAT guidelines.
  • Process staff expenses and credit card expenditures.
  • Manage supplier payments and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Update supplier and customer records accurately.
  • Electronic filing and record-keeping.


Main Duties:

The successful candidate will be responsible for matching purchase invoices with purchase orders, preparing and running BACS payments, reconciling supplier statements, and maintaining accurate filing systems.



Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • AAT qualified or relevant experience in a similar role (at least 1 year).
  • Proficiency in Sage 50, Xero, or other accounting software.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
