Job Title: Bank Chef

We are seeking a skilled Bank Chef to join our team at Spire Cardiff Hospital. As a Bank Chef, you will work on a flexible 0-hour contract, providing support to our established team during busy periods, sickness, or annual leave.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce high-quality meals in designated sections of the main kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support the head/senior chef in all aspects of the kitchen, ensuring consistency and excellence in food production and presentation.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all staff and customers, adhering to HACCP guidelines and promoting a culture of assistance between kitchen and server staff.
  • Ensure efficient and consistent delivery of food throughout all hospitality areas.
Requirements:
  • Previous Chef/Cookery experience is essential.
  • NVQ level 2 or higher is preferred, along with a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Relevant certificates or a willingness to undertake specialist training in specific areas are required.
  • Knowledge and experience in similar establishments are highly valued.
  • A professional self-starter able to work unaided, highly organized, and capable of working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
