Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at ANS. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco, Arista, and Fortinet tooling. They will also possess strong knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and best practices.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures across the network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and organizational policies. This will include monitoring and analysing network traffic, security logs, and event data to identify and respond to potential security threats.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain security measures across the network infrastructure.
  • Monitor and analyse network traffic, security logs, and event data to identify and respond to potential security threats.
  • Regularly review network configurations and device hardening to ensure security controls are effective and up-to-date.
  • Perform and organise vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation measures.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco, Arista, and Fortinet tooling.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Experience with network segmentation techniques, VLANs, and access control methodologies.
  • Exposure to using vulnerability scanning tools.
