We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Senior Medicines Manufacturing Director to lead the implementation of our new Medicines Manufacturing Centre in Seaton Delaval. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the core functions of the centre, delivering MHRA Licence requirements, corporate governance, commercial success, and financial balance.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and run the core functions of the Medicines Manufacturing Centre, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies for the provision and management of medicines manufacturing services, contributing to the strategic development of these services across the region.
- Ensure that safe, effective, and cost-effective quality systems are in place for the assurance of procurement of starting materials, manufacture/production, testing, and distribution of medicines.
We are looking for an individual with advanced theoretical and practical knowledge, supplemented by specialist training or substantial experience in pharmaceuticals operations. You should have professional knowledge acquired through a degree, supplemented by specialist training to doctorate or equivalent level, management qualification, or equivalent experience. Additionally, you should demonstrate awareness of and commitment to the clinical governance agenda, analytical skills, and the ability to translate broad national strategy into deliverable local plans.
The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
