Job Title: Specialist Building Control Inspector

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Building Control Inspector to join our team at Manchester City Council. As a key member of our Building Control Service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that developments in Manchester meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out building control inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and standards.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to developers, architects, and other stakeholders on building control matters.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of building control policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams and departments to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a related discipline.
  • Professional membership of a building control related organization (e.g. CABE, RICS, CIOB).
  • Valid driving license and ability to drive a vehicle for work purposes.
