Lead the Charge in Fusion Powerplant Design

Crooton Ltd is seeking an exceptional Head of Computational Science and Engineering to drive innovation, collaboration, and strategic direction in advancing technologies crucial to our mission of delivering clean, sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the convergence of HPC and AI/ML to accelerate modelling, simulation, visualisation, and analysis at the exascale.
  • Deliver actionable predictive capability in plasma science, materials science, and for the engineering design of complex systems.
  • Develop and implement an engaging and empowering strategy and delivery framework for actionable, scale-out simulation and supporting data science/AI/ML capability.
  • Monitor and mitigate CSE risks within the Computing Division and across other divisions.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness campaigns for HPC/AI/ML.
Requirements:
  • PhD, master's degree or equivalent knowledge/experience.
  • Significant experience in leading modelling, simulation and innovation in a research or engineering environment.
  • Proven experience in people management for teams of 20+ technology professionals.
  • Experience in digital innovation in the fusion sector or powerplant engineering design.
