About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Regional Investment Management Director. This is a key role that will play a critical part in shaping the future of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive business plan for private client investment management teams in allocated regions, aligned with the CEO's strategy.
  • Agree individual annual targets and objectives with each investment management team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Collaborate with QCFP to ensure seamless connectivity and alignment between Investment Managers and Financial Planners.
  • Oversee training and competence development for relevant individuals within the investment management population, in conjunction with Heads of Offices.
  • Ensure provision of administrative services and information flows to investment management teams, adhering to regulatory requirements and controls.
  • Monitor investment performance of portfolios managed by investment management teams, ensuring compliance with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Authorise fee structure variations in accordance with company procedures.
  • Liaise with the CEO, Sales, and Marketing to develop and implement new business opportunities, increasing funds under management.
  • Attend Executive Committee meetings, contributing to achieving committee objectives and participating in regular forums and meetings.
  • Visit UK regional offices regularly and chair Quarterly Heads of Office meetings.
Management Accountabilities
  • Ensure regional teams operate in compliance with relevant legislation, rules, codes of conduct, and company policies.
  • Manage team budgets, reviewing resourcing requirements and authorising expenditure.
  • Recruit competent and relevant employees, adhering to the company's recruitment policy.
  • Provide training, coaching, and supervision to employees, enabling them to meet company standards and achieve personal objectives.
  • Regularly review employee performance, providing clear objectives and requirements, and addressing performance management or disciplinary action as needed.
  • Lead annual compensation reviews for regional IM and support staff teams.
  • Ensure fair treatment and non-discrimination of employees.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect data for all staff members.
  • Ensure staff welfare in accordance with company health and safety policies.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Professional qualifications as specified by the relevant regulatory authority and the Company's T&C Scheme.
  • A professional attitude at all times.
  • A minimum of 3-4 nights a month away from home.
