About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at 5 Star Recruitment. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, promoting their dignity and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including dressing, undressing, washing, and personal hygiene.
  • Help residents with mobility and physical disabilities, such as incontinence, and assist with the use of disability aids.
  • Apply practical intervention procedures for dementia or behavioral problems.
  • Participate in social activities and promote residents' physical and mental well-being.
  • Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleaning up after meals.
  • Help with light domestic duties, such as tidying rooms, dusting, and polishing.
  • Monitor residents' medical or physical condition and report any changes to the Manager/Senior in charge.
Requirements
  • Caring and patient attitude.
  • Sensitivity to residents' privacy and individual needs.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and emergency situations.
  • Commitment to the rights of elderly and disabled people to live dignified lives.
Working Conditions

You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, providing physical support to residents, and lifting and moving equipment as needed. You will also be expected to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, adhering to food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
