Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Multi Skills Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, designing, delivering, and developing programs of study for groups of learners.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop best practice in learning, teaching, and assessment ensuring standardization and continuity.
  • Assess learners for progress and achievement.
  • Manage materials and tools for the programs ensuring all health and safety standards are met.
  • Maintain the construction program environment ensuring areas are always fit for learning.
  • Engage with local companies and organizations to enhance the construction experience of all learners.
  • Design, develop, and monitor resources for learner use.
  • Act as personal tutor to a group/s of learners and coordinate tutorial support.
  • Set targets and engage learners for their lessons.
  • Provide accurate feedback on progress and outcomes to managers and students.
  • Monitor learner attendance and maintain appropriate standards of behavior.
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum initiatives, development of standards, and general developmental issues.
  • Complete documentation and records of learner performance and administration associated with the role.
  • Undergo continuous professional development as directed.

Skill Requirements: To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in construction multi-skills standards, occupational experience in a relevant area, and a flexible and professional approach. A teaching qualification such as AET/Cert Ed/PGCE/PTTLS or relevant training is essential. Additionally, you should have a minimum level 2 qualification within the relevant vocational sector or significant occupational experience.
