Lead AI Development Team

Promote Project seeks an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead two teams of Applied Scientists and Engineers in delivering AI/ML solutions at scale. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of shipping impactful products, managing teams of Applied Scientists and ML Engineers, building, maintaining, and monitoring complex AI/ML models and systems in production, and communicating complex technical concepts and solutions to all levels of the organization and diverse stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Define a long-term vision and direction, driven by our customers' needs, translating it into roadmaps, and foster collaboration across teams, functions, and business units to define and execute complex projects.
  • Develop and manage a research agenda, balancing short-term deliverables with measurable business impact, as well as long-term investments.
  • Act as a technical supervisor, guiding development efforts to maximize outcomes in your team's area.
  • Hire and develop top talent, providing technical and career development guidance to Applied Scientists and Engineers across the organization.
  • Innovate, driving continued scientific innovation and advancing the team's engineering craftsmanship as a practitioner and thought leader.

Requirements

We're looking for an experienced leader who can communicate complex technical concepts and solutions to all levels of the organization and diverse stakeholders. Experience in the sports industry using AI/ML is a plus.

Compensation

This role comes with a salary of £60,000 - £90,000 per year.
