Project Planner Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Planner to join our Nuclear & Power team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Project Planner, you will play a vital role in shaping our exciting projects and contributing to the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying critical path, resources, and milestones.
  • Participate in interactive planning workshops to ensure comprehensive schedules are developed using best practice and benchmarking data.
  • Ensure all activities are logic linked and aligned with project deliverables, execution plans, and contracting strategies.
  • Update schedule progress in accordance with processes and procedures, validating work completed.
  • Identify and explain variances between current schedule, plan, earned value, and forecasts, communicating these clearly to the project team.
  • Work alongside the cost controller to identify key variances between the schedule and costs.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify resources and man-hours required to complete project activities, keeping these updated throughout the project.
  • Prepare project reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis on a periodic basis, leading progress communications and update meetings.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Preferrable knowledge in Primavera P6 and ability to learn new software as required.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques, including critical path method, progress measurement, and earned value technique.
  • Preferrable experience in project planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, solid report writing, communication, and presentation skills, effective problem-solving, and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well with clients and stakeholders, as part of a project team, build and maintain good working relationships with all parties.
  • Must have good communication skills and ability to lead meetings.
