Senior Development Planner

Are you a skilled planning professional looking for a challenging role in the heart of Yorkshire? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Development Planner to join our team at The Banks Group.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Development Planner to join our team in Yorkshire. As a Senior Development Planner, you will be responsible for providing professional planning and research support across the Banks Property and Banks Homes business areas in the Yorkshire Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the existing Yorkshire portfolio while identifying new opportunities
  • Develop the planning approach and strategy for individual projects
  • Lead on the coordination and preparation of planning applications and environmental statements
  • Secure all appropriate permissions and consents for projects
  • Coordinate and develop strategy, monitor and provide inputs on Local Plans, and National policy and guidance
  • Provide general planning advice on all aspects of planning procedures, local policy, and regulations

Requirements:

  • Education to degree level with qualifications in town and county planning
  • Over 5 years of experience in planning practice
  • Excellent knowledge of planning processes and procedures
  • Commercial awareness in property development and the built environment
  • First-class written and verbal communication skills
  • Actively undertaking ongoing professional development
  • Full UK driving license
