Job Summary:

NCG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Instructor to join our team as a Lecturer in Multi Skills. As a key member of our Construction department, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing high-quality learning programs in Construction, across a range of levels of further education, and/or apprenticeship provision.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and assess high-quality learning programs in Construction, ensuring that students meet the required standards and achieve their learning goals.
  • Undertake a range of program leadership, tutorial, and program administration duties to support the effective delivery of our Construction programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure that our programs meet the needs of the Construction sector.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new programs and initiatives, ensuring that they are aligned with the College's strategic objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues, students, and industry partners to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the Construction sector.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Level 3 industry-recognised standard in a relevant field, such as Bricklaying, Carpentry, or Painting and Decorating.
  • Hold a post-16 teaching qualification and English and Maths qualifications at Level 2, or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe.
  • Have a proven track record of professional/vocational expertise in the Construction sector, with experience of effective program leadership in FE and/or Apprenticeships.
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to self-manage workload and meet deadlines.
  • Have good IT skills and be able to use a range of digital tools to support teaching and learning.
