Sodexo, a leading services company, is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join their team in Oxford. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients and employees.

Job Summary

We are looking for a vigilant and detail-oriented individual to work on our 3rd shift and weekend schedule. The successful candidate will have an SIA Licence and previous experience as a corporate security officer or in a relevant position.

The salary for this role is £12.54 per hour, plus additional benefits such as free parking, use of on-site discounted shop, and full training and uniform provided.

About the Job

As a Security Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting staff and visitors and ensuring they adhere to required security protocols
  • Monitoring premises to prevent rule infractions
  • Conducting regular patrols to ensure a visible and reassuring presence
  • Responding promptly to alarms and security incidents
  • Enforcing company policies and procedures

You will also be responsible for completing detailed reports on incidents and observations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An in-date SIA Licence
  • Proven experience as a corporate security officer or in a relevant position
  • Strong observational and communication skills
  • Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively
  • Knowledge of basic security operations and procedures
